FACEIT’s Project Lead Milos “Mikey” Nedeljkovic announced today that the FPL community has chosen to bench D0cC from FPL due to his inability to communicate through a microphone during PUGs. The decision was an unprecedented outcome voted on by the league’s players, according to Mikey.

The 17-year-old has been a controversial figure in the European scene ever since his qualification through the FPL Challenger league in May. D0cC has been doing well since his arrival in the league, but his situation is a tad different than what the average CS:GO prodigy faces—as evidenced by Mouseports’ Robin “ropz” Kool, who was previously doubted by FPL players.

D0cC qualified for FPL last month without using a mic and by having a friend communicate for him during games. He claims that his parents don’t approve of his gaming aspirations or his amount of playing time. The Dutch prodigy says that when he turns 18 he’ll be able to talk via mic in his own apartment without his parents hindering him. This has also led to discussions on Reddit and HLTV forums that speculate whether he is cheating.

Ropz climbed the ranks into FPL and onto Mouz last year, while also facing similar problems because pro players like Fnatic’s Jesper “JW” Wecksell thought he cheated in FPL. Ropz proved that he isn’t a cheater by traveling to FACEIT’s headquarters to play FPL. The situation is different with D0cC because Mouz’s Dutch captain Chris “chrisJ” de Jong offered to verify his legitimacy in person, but D0cC refused. Discussions regarding the young gun have turned skeptical now, with reporter Richard Lewis being the most suspicious of D0cC’s story.

FACEIT and the FPL Circuit are expected to make a decision on his reinstatement into FPL when he turns 18 and is able to rectify the voice chat situation.
