Most maps in Counter-Strike 2 have been reworked, and all of them look better after the Source 2 engine upgrade. CS2 features several maps like its predecessor, but their availability depends on the game mode.
Dust 2 is finally available in CS2’s new ranked mode, Premier, after the April 25 update. The iconic map returned in place of the Overpass, with still seven maps in the Active Duty.
We’ve listed below all the maps in every CS2 game mode.
CS2‘s Active Duty maps: The ones available in Premier and pro play
You can currently play all seven of these Active Duty maps via Premier, the new matchmaking mode for CS2.
- Dust 2
- Mirage
- Inferno
- Nuke
- Vertigo
- Ancient
- Anubis
The maps in Active Duty are usually the most competitive and balanced in the entire map pool. Valve tweaks the map pool very rarely, and the game can feature the same maps for a year or two before a change is introduced. The latest change saw Overpass’s removal for Dust 2.
Maps available in CS2‘s Competitive mode
The traditional Competitive mode in CS2 is similar to CS:GO; however, you have a unique rank for every one of these maps.
- Dust 2
- Mirage
- Inferno
- Overpass
- Nuke
- Vertigo
- Ancient
- Anubis
- Office
While you don’t know which map you’ll end up playing in Premier, because of the ban system, you can queue for one or multiple maps in the Competitive. Overpass is still available in this mode, unlike Premier.
Wingman maps in CS2
Valve generally adds new maps for Wingman with the help of the community. However, only Vertigo, Nuke, Overpass, and Inferno are available. These maps are made for two-vs-two play, and as a result, they are cut in half.
Maps available in CS2‘s casual mode
Though Casual looks like a normal competitive setting at first glance, it has a number of differences. Players spawn with Kevlar and a helmet every round, team kill is turned off, and it supports up to 10 players per team instead of five.
- Mirage
- Inferno
- Overpass
- Nuke
- Vertigo
- Ancient
- Anubis
- Dust 2
- Office
- Italy
Deathmatch maps in CS2
Deathmatch, or DM, as a lot of players call it, is mostly useful for practicing purposes. The matches last 10 minutes, and every time you die, you respawn in a different spot and play again. It’s what a lot of players use to warm up their aim before heading into Premier mode.
- Mirage
- Inferno
- Overpass
- Nuke
- Vertigo
- Ancient
- Anubis
- Dust 2
- Office
- Italy
Arms Race maps in CS2
A surprise Feb. 6 update introduced one of Counter-Strike’s most beloved modes, Arms Race, in CS2. You can play on two maps in this mode, and it works similarly to CS:GO’s version; get a kill, and your weapon will change until someone secures a kill with the final weapon.
- Baggage
- Shoots
