Two months ago, Team SoloMid completed its new North American Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster, mixing a set of pro league rookies with three veterans to the scene.
Last week, it parted ways with one of its rookies after mediocre performances and failed qualifications for several major events. Now the team will try out another veteran in hopes to get on its feet and beat some of North American Counter-Strike’s best teams.
Former Team Liquid AWPer and in-game leader Eric “adreN” Hoag is trying out for the squad, according to announcement regarding his status on Team Liquid’s Facebook page.

AdreN will still compete with Team Liquid at the $1 million Major League Gaming North American major later this month due to a roster lock. But after that, he’ll be replaced by former Enemy Kenneth “koosta” Suen.
He’ll still make his debut for SoloMid this month, however, competing in the CEVO Season 9 circuit. That will serve as an official tryout to replace former player Daniel “vice” Kim, who left the squad several weeks ago, as reported by HLTV’s Michal Malachowski.
Kim parted ways with the team after they were unable to qualify for Dreamhack Malmö and the Major League Gaming major, losing to teams such as Winterfox and Renegades. The team’s form has looked poor in comparison to the previous lineup of players SoloMid team, who left the organization to join Astralis late last year.
The current lineup includes former compLexity Gaming duo Kory “Semphis” Friesen and Timothy “autimatic” Ta, former Counter Logic Gaming Pujan “FNS” Mehta, and former Denial Esports young-gun Hunter “SicK” Mims.
