Here are all the details currently available on ranked play in Warzone 2.
Warzone 2 ranked play release date
On May 3, Activision confirmed that Warzone ranked is officially arriving alongside the Season Three Reloaded update on May 10.
“Assemble the trio and prepare for the road to the Top 250,” Activision said on April 6. “Developed by Treyarch and Raven Software, Call of Duty: Warzone Ranked Play will act as the proving ground and true test for trios wanting to become the best in the world.”
Warzone ranked play details
Activision revealed a ton of information about ranked play in a new blog post on May 4.
It confirmed that Warzone ranked will have variations to its ruleset, including removing public events like firesales, vehicles like heavy choppers, and gameplay elements such as multi-circles, adjustments to buy station inventories, and “changes to redeploy mechanics.”
Players will earn skill rating by placing well and getting kills and assists. Here’s how SR will be doled out in matches:
- 21+ Squads Remaining: +5 SR per Elimination/Assist, +2 SR per Squadmate Elimination
- Three-to-20 Squads Remaining: +7 SR per Elimination/Assist, +3 SR per Squadmate Elimination
- One-to-three Squads Remaining: +15 SR per Elimination/Assist, +7 SR per Squadmate Elimination

Warzone ranked’s SR divisions will be similar to how it’s separated in Modern Warfare 2’s ranked mode. The divisions are Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Crimson, Iridescent, and Top 250.
“At the end of each season, players are knocked back to the lowest tier one division below where they ended the season,” Activision said. “For example, a Gold III player at the end of Season Three Reloaded will start Season Four at Silver I, while a Diamond II will go back down to Platinum I. However, the highest Division at which players can start a new Season is Diamond I, so anyone in Crimson, Iridescent, or Top 250 will be brought down to Diamond I at the start of a new season.”
