If you’re getting “timed out waiting on playerstats” while trying to play Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone, you’re not alone.
The widespread error hit many players this morning as they logged on to prepare for new weekly challenges and a limited-time event for The Walking Dead, blocking access with an error codenamed “NIAMEY – KINSER.”
Unfortunately for many, this means some CoD players may miss out on the very first chance too paly The Walking Dead: Road to Terminus or unlock the new JAK Lance Aftermarket Part. But thankfully, it appears a fix is in the works.
The @CODUpdates account on Twitter/X has reported how the teams behind the game are aware of the situation, and that it has to do with connecting to the games in a certain region of the world in particular. Sorry, EU gamers.
“We’re investigating a temporary service outage impacting players in some European regions,” the account said. “During this time, profile data and other online services may be unavailable. We’ll provide an update once this issue is resolved.”
It’s unclear how long a fix may take, but with just minutes to go before the weekly update rolls out with new content for players to enjoy, it may be some time before that happens as this is the specific issue that is causing the NIAMEY – KINSER error to appear.
Whenever the servers do get their issues ironed out, the new “All the Shipments! 24/7” playlist is sure to be a hit, featuring all variants of the classic small map that players love to grind camos and XP on.
Odds are that if you’re not in the “some European regions” mentioned by Activision, you should be able to play MW3 and Warzone just fine. If not, buckle up and prepare to wait a bit before hopping back online for some games.
