Call of Duty constantly introduces fresh and unconventional gear for players to wield, including a spear set to single-handedly obliterate enemies in Season Five. It’s like bringing a spear to a gunfight, and the spear might just win.
As the release of Season Five Reloaded is here, players are increasingly curious about wielding a historical javelin to devastating effect in Modern Warfare 3.
How to get the Spear in MW3 and Warzone
The Spear makes its debut as a melee weapon during the MW3 Season Five Reloaded update as part of a previously-locked sector in the Battle Pass. While it was initially unavailable at the launch of the battle pass, players now have the opportunity to obtain the Spear during the mid-season festivities by completing challenges.
The Spear can be found in Sector 23 of the battle pass. This means you will have needed to complete sectors four or 18 to gain access to the new sector and all of its challenges to get the new melee wapon.
Here’s the full list of challenges to unlock both the Spear and Torque 35 bow in MW3 and Warzone:
- Get 10 operator or Special Zombie melee kills.
- Reward: “Win it All” large decal
- Get three operator or Special Zombie kills with Throwing Knives.
- Reward: “Coined Champion” emblem
- Get three operator melee backstab kills or Special Zombie Kills.
- Reward: One hour double XP token
- Get three operator or Special Zombie kills with the butt of a gun.
- Reward: “Overtime” weapon sticker
- One final challenge for the Spear once all four others are finished.
Spears in MW3 share similarities with Throwing Knives and can be “retrieved from the environment.” However, the real excitement begins once unlocked, as players can level up the Spear to earn new camos.
