How to find Hydrogen Peroxide, Acetone, and Cephalexin in DMZ

With the arrival of season four of Call of Duty’s DMZ mode, you can join four different factions: the White Lotus, Black Mous, Crown, and Phalanx, which happens to be the replacement for the Legion faction.

Each faction comes with its own set of Urgent Missions, which happen to switch out daily. These missions then boost your Faction Reputation while also increasing XP gain. To unlock one of these crucial Urgent Missions for the Phalanx legion, you will need to acquire three bottles of certain chemicals: Hydrogen Peroxide, Cephalexin, and Acetone.

These chemicals are far from easy to find, however, which is why I have come up with a guide on how exactly you can find Hydrogen Peroxide, Cephalexin, and Acetone in DMZ, below.

Where to find Hydrogen Peroxide and other chemicals in DMZ

To find Hydrogen Peroxide, Cephalexin, Acetone, and other chemicals in DMZ, check medicine cabinets, first aid kits, medicine bags, and hospitals as these places tend to be the only places that store the chemicals.

In particular, go to hospitals first if you’re within range of one, which means dropping into Al Mazrah. Hospitals are almost guaranteed to store at least one of the chemicals you need for your mission or objective, so head there immediately if you get the chance.

The best place to start looking for Hydrogen Peroxide, Cephalexin, and Acetone in DMZ is at hospitals, specifically in Al Mazrah. I’ve had the most luck finding these in the patient wards and First Aid kits upstairs.

You can also find these items in large medical bags or medicine cabinets in the hospital or in nearby buildings. Head upstairs via the stairwell to the left of the building, then enter the wards on the right of the hallway.

Keep in mind that these medicine cabinets are not guaranteed to contain the three chemicals you are looking for, but they are your best chance at grabbing at least one or two.

In total there are six hospitals in Al Mazrah, so if you can’t find these supplies in the first hospital you come across, you can always grab a car and drive over to another. Keep in mind that players tend to prioritize hospitals for mission quests or when grabbing equipment for Barter vest recipes, so be armed and ready for a fight.

Hospitals are your best bet, but when in doubt, it’s always worth checking first aid kits and medicine cabinets scattered all over the DMZ map. Almost every building on every DMZ map—from the confines of Ashika Island to the newest map Vondel, and even in Building 21—has a first aid kit or a medicine cabinet.

Most of the time these will hold Stims, bandages, or Self-Revive Kits, but on the odd occasion, it is possible for them to hold Hydrogen Peroxide, Cephalexin, and Acetone. Though rare, if you’re one or two away from completing your mission, it can’t hurt to try them.

Koschei Complex

The Koschei Complex is another hotspot for acquiring rare the chemicals, with Acetone in particular quite abundant in the passageways leading up to the complex’s Chemical Plant. Use the Oasis’ secret entrance to first enter the Koschei Complex, then make your way through all of the radiated bunkers while completing each of the puzzles in your path.

Once inside, you need to thoroughly search the whole area for medicine cabinets present on the walls—just like the hospitals in Al Mazrah—between the first entry point and the entrance to the Chemical Plant.

These chemicals can also be found in the green crates on the ground in the Barracks and the nuclear facility. If you’ve got a squad with you and are willing to push deep into Koschei, I’ve found the Alpha Cluster contains more of the chemicals, but don’t forget your jumper leads and car battery.

More often than not, you should be able to find at least one of the Hydrogen Peroxide, Cephalexin, or Acetone bottles in these medicine cabinets within Koschei Complex.

Use a Secure Backpack

A quick and easy method, sort of. Screenshot by Dot Esports

Once you find the chemicals you need, you can extract them over and over again by using a Secure Backpack. The Secure Backpack lets you save any item you find for a later run instead of removing it from your inventory.

Grab the chemicals and extract them in a Secure Backpack. Then, simply drop into DMZ again and extract immediately—this will count toward unlocking your Insured Slot cooldown reduction and any other objective that requires multiple chemicals.

You need to unlock the crafting recipe for the Secure Backpack before you can make one, but this is a much easier method to complete this task without having to find the chemicals every single run.
