Call of Duty’s DMZ features a robust selection of faction missions, and season six’s offerings include some of the toughest quests—and some awesome rewards—once you reach and complete tier five.
Shadow Company’s tier-five missions are brutal, with the A Big Help mission seeing you team up to actively help your squadmates progress their missions. But if you all die, or you join another squad mid-session, you’re back to square one.
Here’s how to complete the A Big Help mission in DMZ.
A Big Help faction mission in DMZ: Full guide
A Big Help is a tier five faction mission for the Shadow Company in DMZ and can only be accessed after finishing the tier four-story mission, Alliance Exposure. A Big Help requires you to assist your squadmates and help them complete their missions, progressing your own every time you finish a mission with them.
The A Big Help mission has one objective:
- Help squadmates complete five missions without squad wiping.
But what missions count towards progression for A Big Help? Should you try Squad Fill to complete A Big Help? How best can you complete this difficult mission?
A Big Help: Tips and tricks
The A Big Help mission requires you to assist in completing your squadmates’ selected faction missions. As a result, you obviously can’t do this one solo. At the very least, you will have to toggle on Squad Fill and join a random squad to complete this mission.
However, trying to assist random teammates in completing their missions can prove…difficult. Some players just want to hunt and kill operators, ya know? Utilize text and voice chat and see if your random squadmates need a hand for their missions, or better yet, open your Tactical Map, view your squad’s missions, and then complete them yourself, if you can.
Ultimately, the easier the missions, the faster you’ll be able to finish A Big Help. But as most active players are well into tier four or five for the season, this is easier said than done. If possible, grab a couple of friends who are new to DMZ as they’ll have very easy tier-one missions to complete, and knock them out in one session.
Even better: Try and organize your teammates to select the same missions before entering as a squad.
I managed to grab two friends and have them set the exact same tier-one faction missions. When we completed the mission it counted doubly for my progress.
You do not have to complete this in a single run. You can enter DMZ with your squad and do each teammate’s mission one at a time. However, if your entire squad is killed, your progress will be reset.
Daily or Weekly missions do not count toward A Big Help’s progress. You must complete your squadmates’ main faction missions and help them move through each faction’s tier system.
Once complete, you’ll be rewarded with a Contraband Signal 50 sniper rifle and 20,000 XP.
