The very first official look at Call of Duty’s newest Zombies mode is here, and it’s enough to get fans slobbering like the undead.

The short cinematic clip shows off new characters during a jailbreak, along with some returning ones, and teases a confrontation with none other than Zombies legend Richtofen in the return to classic round-based Zombies in CoD: Black Ops 6 later this year. The video is a cinematic trailer for Terminus, one of the two round-based Zombies maps coming to Black Ops 6 at launch.

Today’s cinematic sets the stage for Black Ops 6 Zombies to take over where Cold War Zombies left off. Some familiar faces including Grigori Weaver, Dr. Elizabeth Grey, and Dr. William Peck make appearances alongside a new character named Maya Aguinaldo.

“Taking place over half a decade later, Black Ops 6 Zombies continues the Dark Aether storyline, exploring the fortunes of key characters while also delving further into Richtofen’s motivations and goals,” Activision said. “During the intervening years, former Requiem staff—Grigori Weaver, Mackenzie “Mac” Carver, Elizabeth Grey, Oskar Strauss, and Stoney Maddox (better known by his callsign, Raptor One)—have been incarcerated at an outpost known as Terminus, a mysterious garrison located in the Philippine Sea. After being imprisoned for over five years, these characters have undergone significant mental and physical changes.”

It seems like a basic overview of the information we have so far on the Terminus storyline is that former enemies will now need to work together if they want to make it out alive.

Activision’s blog today also teased that “extensive Zombies intel comms” are set to be revealed on Aug. 8 at 10am CT. We could learn more about the Terminus map at that time, or maybe we’ll get a cinematic and some info on the Liberty Falls map briefly mentioned toward the end of the blog post.

Even more about Zombies mode should be revealed at CoD Next on Aug. 28. Black Ops 6 launches on Oct. 25.
