Modern Warfare 2 (MW2) has been out for quite some time now, and players are getting deep into the wide variety of weapons available, including the MX9 submachine gun.

Call of Duty has always made this a priority and MW2 is no exception, this time with the extensive Weapon Platform system. Players are able to unlock and level up several different weapons as a part of different archetypes all within the same platform.

The MX9 is an SMG that, if used correctly, can wreck your opponents with ease. Players can zip around the map with this AUG variant, and that’s important in a fast-paced CoD like MW2. The SMG provides players with a whole lot of mobility, making you a difficult target for any opponent on the CoD battlefield.

Here’s the best way to load up your MX9 for success in MW2 multiplayer.

Why this is the best MX9 loadout and class in MW2

MW2’s gunplay, especially when it comes to objective play, is all about being quick and precise. The more sluggish you are, the more likely you are to get absolutely decimated thanks to the game’s extremely fast time-to-kill.

Make no mistake, the MX9 is nowhere near the best SMG in the game. But that doesn’t mean players can’t find success with it, especially with this loadout. This build is all positives when it comes to buffing statistics in the Gunsmith, with very little negation to speak of.

The one big downside to the MX9 is its slow reload speed. Players will need to duck out for a few seconds to keep themselves in the fight because the default 25-round magazine is just not good enough for the pace of play. Those extra seven bullets in the 32 Round Mag really do make all the difference in the world, especially when duking it out against multiple enemy players near an objective.
