Is this the assault rifle king in BR?

Warzone’s Al Mazrah map is full of loot, but there are also Buy Stations that contain the ability to purchase your very own pre-built weapon or loadout.

For players new to Warzone, the M4 is one of the most popular and readily accessible weapons in the game, so having the best M4 loadout is essential to survival in battle royale.

Since MW2 and Warzone operate on the same engine and use the same weapons, anything players might have enjoyed in multiplayer will likely translate well to BR, but with some tweaks to the attachments that you use.

Warzone is a different beast than MW2 multiplayer. While MW2 is all about fast-paced play to level up weapons, your life is paramount in Warzone and the map is much larger, so the playstyle is a big adjustment.

Here’s the best M4 loadout for you to use when dropping into games on Al Mazrah, Vondel, or Ashika Island in Warzone.

Here is the best attachment set and loadout for the M4 in MW2:

    • Recoil Smoothness: +1.40oz
    • Bullet Velocity: +1.00in
  • Barrel: Hightower 20″ Barrel
    • Recoil Steadiness: +0.50lb
    • Aim Down Sight Speed: -0.40in
  • Optic: Aim OP-V4
    • Aim Down Sight Speed: -3.00oz
    • Far: -1.65in
  • Underbarrel: VX Pineapple

Why this is the best M4 Warzone loadout

Al Mazrah is a big place, and you need a weapon that can sustain damage at a long range and with decent precision and control. The handy-dandy, classic, old faithful M4 assault rifle is still a meta weapon in Warzone.

This set of attachments is key for success in fighting at long range. They’re keyed toward buffing the M4’s damage, range, accuracy, and recoil control, all of which are very important when fighting at ranges longer than you may be used to in multiplayer matches.

The M4 won’t have a ton of success up close, but you can easily purchase a second submachine gun, shotgun, or close-range AR to deal with enemies that push you or when you decide to head into one of Al Mazrah’s many, many buildings.

We’ve found much success through using the M4 in battle royale throughout Warzone’s lifespan, and that doesn’t seem like it will be changing any time soon. Even after several new ARs have been released, we think the M4 is still as solid as they come. It’s one of my preferred guns overall.

Best perks for M4 in Warzone

  • Perks: Double Time, Battle Hardened, Fast Hands, Ghost

This is the go-to perk package for general Warzone gameplay since it’s a well-balanced smorgasbord of perks. All of them combined can help take your games to the next level in BR, Resurgence, or Plunder.

Best equipment for M4 in Warzone

  • Tactical: Stun
  • Lethal: Semtex

The classic stun and semtex combo works quite well in Warzone. The stun grenade is very strong in Al Mazrah, even if players are using Battle Hardened. The same goes for Bomb Squad, so the Semtex will chunk down enemy armor quickly if you hit them directly.
