Each Call of Duty season comes bundled with huge content patches. These patches are essential to keeping the existing player base engaged with their favorite game while attracting many returning or new players to the franchise.

The season system embraced its final form with the release of Modern Warfare and Warzone. It was unclear what would happen to the season count with the release of new CoD games, but Black Ops Cold War answered that question by resetting the season count to one.

That trend continued in Vanguard and Modern Warfare 2, and now Modern Warfare 3 looks to continue even further with subsequent Call of Duty releases over the next few years. Activision has found a formula that works when it comes to making some cash and pumping out content.

Modern Warfare 3 season start and end dates

The first season of MW3 kicked off less than a month after release and added a slew of new content to the game, like new maps, weapons, game modes, operators, and MW3’s Warzone integration.

MW3 has already added season two, three, four, and more are already in the works with new battle passes, operator skins, collaborations, modes, maps, and everything players have come to expect from CoD.

Here’s the full list of all of the recent CoD seasons with their start and end dates.
