The Drow twins are found in Act Three of BG3 as you first enter the Lower City region of Baldur’s Gate. While ultimately non-consequential to the game’s plot, they provide you with an opportunity for a bit of scandalous fun or a moral dilemma—depending on how you’ve played the game thus far. Should you hire the Drow twins in BG3?

Finding and hiring the Drow twins, named Nym and Sorn, is a great thing for you to do in BG3. First, you need to find them. You can find Nym and Sorn inside Sharess’ Caress, a brothel outside Baldur’s Gate. As such, you can find them once you’ve started Act Three of BG3. You won’t have to have progressed far into the act, though. Sharess’ Caress is able to be found and entered even before gaining access to the Lower City.

The brothel is in the heart of Wyrm’s Crossing, just past the refugee camp outside of Baldur’s Gate and just before the checkpoint to enter the Lower City. If you fast travel to the South Span of Wyrm’s Crossing, you will load in right next to Sharess’ Caress. Regardless if you’re only headed here to meet up with the Drow twins, it’s important to become accustomed to this location in BG3 as you can do several activities and quests in this area before heading into the city proper.

Once you’re inside the brothel, the twins are easy to find. Directly past the front desk where Mamzell Amira is stationed, you’ll see an open archway covered by a curtain. Walk past this curtain, and the Drow twins are on the left, standing alongside each other. They’re easy to spot, and more than eager to speak with you.

Should you hire the Drow twins in BG3?

There are some crucial reasons on why we believe you should hire the Drow twins in BG3. If you speak with Mamzell Amira, the owner of the brothel, she speaks highly of them and does recommend to spend money on them, for obvious reasons.

In the back room of Sharess’ Caress, Nym and Sorn can be found scantily clad and awaiting you. Speaking with either of them begins the same dialogue in which Sorn, the male twin, explains that you can hire him for a “hot and vulgar” experience or hire his sister, Nym, for a “sweet and sincere” one.

If you’ve romanced a companion and they’re in your party, Nym will jump in and point out that there is “two of us, and two of you” and tell the player to use their imaginations. They are offering to have a good time and including the party member you’ve been romancing, but the party member may not always be interested in such an activity in BG3.

How hiring the Drow twins affects companion relationships in BG3

When we visited Sharess’ Caress, we had a relationship with Karlach. When the twins make their offer, Karlach will express how she isn’t personally into it, but she is not against you doing it. We tested it, and she means it. Accepting the twins’ offer will not adversely affect your relationship with Karlach. She’ll comment on it, but she doesn’t mind too much, which is not the case for every party member. Each character has a different response to wanting to spend time with the Drow twins in BG3.

This is how every companion in BG3 reacts when you’re romancing them, and you ask if they’d like to participate with you and the Drow twins.

GaleGale is willing to join, but you must complete a DC 25 Persuasion Check to persuade him. Should you complete this check, he does join, but dips out and leaves an Astral Projection version of himself to participate in the activity.
HalsinHalsin is more than happy to participate in the activity, and he may also join in even if you’re romancing another party member, bringing the total private gathering to five members.
KarlachKarlach is not willing to join. She says it’s not for her, and if your character does go through with the act, she’s completely fine with it, on the condition that your character leave some energy for her later, after you’ve completed it.
Lae’zelLae’zel is unwilling to participate in the activity anddoes not want to share your company while you are romancing her.
ShadowheartShadowheart will only be interested in the activity if you’ve triggered her final romance scene. If you haven’t, she says no, but if you have, Shadowheart will join you if you want her to participate with the Drow twins.
WyllWyll is not interested in participating in the activity, and he does disprove of the action if you attempt to push forward with the idea.

How to hire the Drow twins in BG3

You have a couple of options here. Either twin can be purchased individually for 500 gold. If you can convince a companion to join in on the fun, both can be hired simultaneously for 1000 gold. This transaction is made by speaking to the Drow twins directly before beginning this activity in BG3.

Alternatively, if you’ve completed the quest Find the “Stern Librarian” Ffion, you can hire one or both of the Drow free of charge. After speaking to Mamzell about finishing the quest, ask for a reward, and she will offer the Drow twins as payment. You’re better off completing this quest before you attempt to pay for the time of these two in BG3, as money begins to become precious as you’re trying to grab some of the best gear in the game.
