There are two secret exits in each main world in Astro Bot. You need to find these hidden warp locations if you want to 100% the game, as they contribute to overall progress and unlock new levels in the process.
If you’ve ever played a Super Mario game, the concept of secret exits shouldn’t be unfamiliar. Many Super Mario games feature secret ways of completing a level and getting rewarded for it, and Astro Bot follows suit with its secret exits and warp locations.
Finding one secret exit is an achievement, but hunting down every single one—especially for the trophy list—can be an exercise in patience.
All hidden exit locations in Astro Bot
There are 10 secret exits in Astro Bot, with two each in the five main worlds. Luckily for you, we took on the painful task of uncovering all 10 warp locations. So read on for the locations of all the secret exits in Astro Bot.
Az-Tech Trail secret exit location in Astro Bot
Along Az-Tech Trail’s main path, you encounter the room in the above screenshot. Defeat the enemies in the room, use your special ability on the red blob, and make the red bug enemy appear. Attack the enemy to make it fall on its back, and instead of reaching the checkpoint, attack all four torches to put them out, as this triggers the wall in front of you and opens up to reveal the secret exit.
Creamy Canyon secret exit location in Astro Bot
Progress through Creamy Canyon until you reach the area with an ice sculpture and the subsequent platform covered in sprinkles. In the sprinkles area, grab the pink enemy (shown above), turn around, and launch it at the ice sculpture. Doing so reveals a blue cross Astro needs to use his charge spin attack on. The secret exit is at the bottom of the hole.
Go-Go Archipelago! secret exit location in Astro Bot
As you climb up the final mountain heading toward the mini-boss, you might notice a map on the wall with a big red X. It marks a certain spot next to the giant skull carved into the land—this is the secret exit. To get to it, though, reach the end of the level and defeat the boss, but now turn around to where you climbed up, and on the left now is a part of the boss that landed after you defeated it. Underneath it is another shiny blue cross to dig down into. As you might guess, the secret exit is down below, behind the skull’s face.
Downsize Surprise secret exit location in Astro Bot
Once you move past the bedroom area, you end up back outside with two different ways to go. One wants you to climb to the top of the structure to the level’s end, but we want to hop onto the platform with the bubble-blowing frog instead. Revert to Astro’s mouse form and ride one of the bubbles up. Don’t jump off when you reach the cage. Instead, ascend a bit higher, and you can jump onto the branch above it.
Follow it to the end and jump onto the branch next to it, and you can see a power switch. Hit it, and the secret exit appears out of thin air.
Free Big Brother! secret exit location in Astro Bot
The Free Big Brother! secret exit requires you to complete the level as normal by destroying all the chains and freeing your giant robot companion. Once you do and the level’s gloomy undertone is replaced by a sunny day, head back to the beginning area of the level, and you should see a new area out in the water (check out our screenshot for a reference point). You need to stand on one of the platforms with the lightning bolt on and wait for the guitar enemy to come over to you.
Once it’s locked into its animation, jump off. It shoots electricity from the instrument and activates the platform—now do this with the adjacent platform. Once both are triggered, a wall opens in front of you to reveal the secret exit.
Bathhouse Battle secret exit location in Astro Bot
This one took me a long time to find! Once more, follow the level’s linear path until you reach the area we’ve captured in image form. The location is distinctive because when you enter the area, an oily enemy is shooting its substance at a mural on the wall to your right. You should also see a giant cherry blossom tree you need to jump across to reach.
Use Astro’s sponge ability to absorb water and go to the tree. Climb up onto the top of it, shoot water at the chimney (usually spewing fire), and the water nullifies the flames, meaning you can now jump into the pipe in Astro’s regular body—taking you to the secret exit inside.
Hieroglitch Pyramid secret exit location in Astro Bot
Hieroglitch Pyramid is another very tricky one to locate. Reach the very end of the level, complete the downhill sequence into the treasure room, but don’t step on the official flag. Jump over to the platform on the right and use your spin attack to clear away most of the gems. You should now see a few destroyable wooden planks needing your metal ball jump ability. A bounce pad takes you to another area, and here, you need to quickly complete two of the touch-sensitive puzzles against the clock to reach the secret exit room.
Balloon Breeze secret exit location in Astro Bot
Finally, a short and sweet one—kind of. Right at the beginning of Balloon Breeze, reach Big Brother and take the balloon ability from his hand. In our first screenshot above, you can see a giant pot in the air in the distance back from where we came—we need to go here. Jump off the hand, return to the ledge next to the spade, and knock over one of the red bug enemies right near the edge of the platform. Use it to spring up as high as you can, use Astro’s jump ability, and use the balloon skill to take you as high as possible and float over to the pot.
Here, blow away petals to reveal a flower, spin into it, hover up to the newly revealed area, and use the giant controller to chop away the bamboo before finally using Astro’s hover boots on the ring to charge it up and make the exit appear. Simple, right?
Frozen Meal secret exit location in Astro Bot
Reach the checkpoint area we’ve marked above and quickly take out the enemies without stepping on too much snow. Now, attack the snowball and roll it around in the remaining snow until it becomes quite sizable.
The snowball doesn’t need to be a specific size, just big enough to reach the ledge!
Using the image above again, roll your new snowball to the ledge on the left-hand side, climb onto the snowball, and you can now access a ledge previously unreachable. Use the controller ability to suck the ice blocks from the wall, and go into the secret exit hiding behind the wall.
Djinny of the Lamp secret exit location in Astro Bot
The tenth and final exit is obscure—as you can imagine—and requires you to be mindful of your surroundings to find it. Defeat Djinny at the end of the level, and once you fall into the final area with the finish line in sight, turn around, go up the steps, and if you smash the pot at the top on the edge, the ceramic falls forward and is hovering in the air—it’s a secret invisible path.
If you look at the picture above, you can see you need to jump and use your rocket ability to reach spaces in the air where the stones are underneath—and they glow. Do this, and reach the other side to unroll a carpet and unlock the tenth and final secret exit in Astro Bot.
