The Fasolasuchus, with its menacing appearance and lightning-fast speed, is a captivating addition to the Scorched Earth DLC in Ark: Survival Ascended. Taming this formidable creature is a challenge worth undertaking, as it will grant you a versatile and potent mount.
Considering the Ark community chose Fasolasuchus in a poll, it’s practically a fan favorite already, and for a good reason. In addition to its impressive speed, this scary beast is capable of dishing out lethal amounts of damage, making it an even more difficult task to tame it.
Where to find the Fasolasuchus in Ark: Survival Ascended
Fasolasuchus is found in the desert biome surrounding the edges of the map in Scorched Earth. As this creature is exclusive to that map, it will not spawn naturally on The Island or any future maps added.
Most of the time, Fasolasuchus is not visible fully above the ground and can instead be spotted hiding beneath the sand, so keep your eyes peeled.
How to tame the Fasolasuchus in Ark: Survival Ascended
When you have located a Fasolasuchus hiding in the sand, use explosives to inflict damage and force it to exit. A brief stun period triggers on the Fasolasuchus allowing you to mount it and provide temporary control over the creature.
When mounted to a wild Fasolasuchus, two bars appear at the bottom of the screen. The first shows the control over the creature, which periodically decreases, and the second shows the Torpidity—which you need to raise.
To increase the Torpidity of a Fasolasuchus, steer the creature into rocks in the environment. Each hit increases the amount of Torpidity the Fasolasuchus has and your control over the creature.
Do not go off any cliffs on the Fasolasuchus, as this de-mounts you and results in failing the taming process. Instead, stick to the rocks found around the desert—Salt deposits can also be used to inflict Torpor by steering the creature into it.
You deal increased Torpidity when traveling at speed, like moving downhill, so use this to your advantage. Eventually, the Fasolasuchus will be knocked out and can be tamed with the normal feeding method.
The Fasolasuchus is a carnivore, therefore the preferred meat is Raw Prime Meat. However, you can also use Raw Mutton or standard Raw Meat, it just takes longer.
