How to complete Sample Platter in DMZ

It can be done solo or with a friend.

The introductory faction missions in DMZ act as a bit of a tutorial to all those new players trying their hand at the game mode. Some of them are as simple as using the mode’s ping system for the first time—which is literally pressing one button—and can give some pretty hefty XP or Contraband weapon rewards.

Completing the Sample Platter faction mission in DMZ, a guide

The tier two Crown mission Sample Platter has one main requirement: You must earn kills in DMZ with at least six different weapon types in one match.

You won’t be required to kill enemy operators for this mission as bot kills are fine but with six different weapon types? This mission is not as easy as you might think.

All up, there are nine different weapon types in DMZ in total: Assault Rifles, Battle Rifles, SMGs, Shotguns, LMGs, Marksman Rifles, Sniper Rifles, Handguns, and Launchers. All are readily available as world drops but some are more common than others. As such, I’d recommend going for the following six:

  • Assault Rifles
  • SMGs
  • Shotguns
  • LMGs
  • Sniper Rifles
  • Marksman Rifles

Ideally, begin the mission with a medium backpack, as this will allow you to bring in three weapons from your stash and knock out half of the objective straightaway. If possible, have a friend join you and bring the remaining three—remember, their kills count towards your mission too, so you’ll be done in no time.

When I completed this alone, however, I entered DMZ with a Sniper Rifle and Sidearm in my main loadout and brought an LMG in my medium backpack. Once I earned a kill with each weapon, I swapped out for a weapon type of an enemy I killed.

Most of the time I came across Assault Rifles and Shotguns in the world, so start out with something different and work your way through.

If you’re starting from scratch, I wholly recommend grabbing that medium backpack for the extra weapon slot. They’re available on any map in DMZ but you can also purchase one directly from the Buy Station for just $5,000.

Once you’ve killed the final enemy with your sixth weapon type, this DMZ mission is completed—you don’t have to successfully exfil to tick it off.
