TFT Set 8.5 NA Regional Finals standings, scores, and more

Players competed for Monsters' Attack Worlds seeds and a fat total prize pool.

Regional Teamfight Tactics competitive play wraps up in North America with the Set 8.5 Monsters’ Attack Regional Finals.

Taking place from May 12 to 14, the NA Regional Finals for TFT Set 8.5 featured a total of 24 players. All players earned direct invites, competing for a total prize pool of $35,000 USD and three World Championship seeds. Top players who didn’t make the Worlds cut were given a second chance for an invite through the Western Last Chance Qualifier tournament, taking place the following weekend.

Players competed in six games during the first day of the NA Regional Finals, with lobbies reseeded every two rounds. Eight players were eliminated based on tournament points, with 16 advancing to the second day of the tournament. 

Leading after game one was Jukeyou and Bossoskills on the six Heart Pantheon Lulu reroll TFT comp, along with Robivankenob on seven InfiniTeam Sivir and Garen carry. With half of the games played during day one at the NA Regional Finals, Jukeyou, Bossoskills, and RippleOverdrive were sitting atop the leaderboard.

After four games played, Jukeyou was six points ahead of the field, earning three lobby wins. Close behind Jukeyou were Bossoskills and Dishsoap. Sitting under 10 points were Clear and Broccoli. Technical difficulties were had by Wisdom and Riot heading into game five, forcing an extended delay until day two of the NA Regional Finals.

May 13 NA Regional Finals standings

Day two began where day one left off, with two games remaining prior to a cut that eliminated eight players and reduced the field to 16. Then six more games were played, with only the top eight advancing to day three of the TFT Set 8.5 North American Regional Finals.

The point cutoff for the top 16 players advancing to the next round of six games was 25 points.

Points were reset heading into the originally planned six games for day two of the NA Regional Finals. Jukeyou kicked off the next set of rounds with another lobby win in Lobby A while Milala won Lobby B.

Four games out of six on day two and Rereplay was sitting atop the leaderboard with 29 points, followed by Jukeyou at 23 points. Just outside the top eight after four games were veteran TFT players like Bossoskills, Cottontail, DQA, and TL Kurumx.

The point cutoff for players advancing to day three of the NA Regional Finals was 28 points. Just missing the cut were Bossoskills and Cottontail at 27 points, followed by DQA and TL Kurumx at 25 points.

Here were the top eight players advancing to the final day playoffs at the NA Regional Finals:

May 14 NA Regional Finals standings

The third and final day of the TFT Set 8.5 NA Regional Finals featured eight of the 24 players who began the tournament on May 12. The top two highest scores from day three earned an invite to represent NA at the Monsters’ Attack World Championship, along with the player who had the best average placement over the course of the tournament. And two players who didn’t make the TFT Worlds cut will get a shot at the Western Last Chance Qualifier.

Rereplay started day three with triple back-to-back lobby wins, followed closely by Jukeyou, of which both players were in the running for the best average placement invite to TFT Set Eight/8.5 Worlds. And both were significantly ahead of the remaining field after three games played.

Heading into the final game of the event day, Rereplay and Jukeyou were still atop the leaderboard, with Jukeyou taking the lead after game five. Sitting outside the bubble for Worlds seeds was the rest of the field.

Day three final standings

Jukeyou earned a first-place finish in the final lobby, winning the NA Regional Finals with an overall record of 6/7/6/7/7/8, followed by Rereplay in second with a record of 8/8/8/3/4/5 for the day. Both earned a direct invite to Worlds, along with Setsuko, who claimed the best average placement at the TFT Set 8.5 Regional Finals.

TFT Worlds and WLC qualifiers

Getting a second chance at the Western Last Chance Qualifier were KindlGem and Robivanekenob.
