Team Rumble

Team Rumble is the new Fortnite Limited Time Mode. It features two teams of 20 players, and everyone will respawn five seconds after dying. The winner is the first team to eliminate 100 opponents. It’s very likely that Team Rumble is replacing the previous temporary mode Wild West.

Fortnite developer Epic Games also used this patch to focus on weapons.

Weapon adjustments

The new pump shotguns announced yesterday are live. The Epic variant deals 105 damage, and the Legendary deals 110. They are available from floor loot, chests, Supply Drops, and Vending Machines.

Regular Pump Shotguns now have an increased maximum damage of 95 for the Common and 100 for the Uncommon variant, which were previously 80 and 85.

In 6.31, all shotguns will deal a minimum damage of three pellets, even if only one or two hit the target. This bonus damage will never be critical. But all of them now deal less damage to distant enemies to balance their damage increase.

The legendary trap Mounted Turret should also feel more balanced. It’s now easier to land shots on someone using it, and it’s impossible to repair the turret. Its drop rate was also reduced in half and should be lower than one percent instead of almost two.

Other new things

Epic added a new functionality in 6.31 that will let players place a marker on the map by looking at a position in the world. Instead of having to open the map to show your allies where you want to go, you can just look at the position and mark it while in Combat Mode.

A new Event called Alchemist Pop-Up Cup is available to those who want a more competitive Fortnite mode. The material cap in this mode is 500, and harvesting rate is increased by 40 percent. The big change compared to previous Pop-Up cups is that it’ll punish passive players.

A Storm Surge will periodically deal damage to players who have the least amount of damage dealt in the match. This will only activate in Alchemist Pop-Up Cup if a storm circle starts closing with more than a set number of players alive. When the maximum number of players alive is met, the Storm Surge stops.
