Festival of the Lost’s horrifying BrayTech Werewolf auto rifle returned to Destiny 2 in 2024 with a new set of perks that make it stronger than ever, all while keeping its charming, skeleton-like paint job.
BrayTech Werewolf is a 450 RPM Kinetic auto rifle and a staple of the Festival of the Lost event in Destiny 2. Though BrayTech Werewolf lost some of its perks like Slideshot (not that anyone will miss it), there are much stronger options available that might make it your go-to legendary Kinetic auto rifle alongside Chroma Rush.
Here are our contenders for the BrayTech Werewolf god rolls for both PvE and PvP.
What is the BrayTech Werewolf god roll in Destiny 2?
BrayTech Werewolf PvE god roll
- Barrel: Arrowhead Brake
- Magazine: Appended Mag
- Perk one: Rewind Rounds
- Perk two: Kinetic Tremors
- Masterwork: Reload Speed
- Weapon Mod: Synergy
BrayTech Werewolf PvP god roll
- Barrel: Extended Barrel
- Magazine: Ricochet Rounds
- Perk one: Zen Moment
- Perk two: Target Lock
- Masterwork: Range
- Weapon Mod: Ballistics
For PvE, BrayTech Werewolf has the perfect combination of Rewind Rounds and Kinetic Tremors. Rewind Rounds refunds around 60 percent of your magazine based on the number of hits, so you can keep firing and triggering Kinetic Tremors with sustained damage for more AoE.
Alternatively, you can use Subsistence instead of Rewind Rounds. Although it’s not as effective, you can still maintain a sustained fire in add-dense environments. If you aren’t a fan of Kinetic Tremors, there’s also Onslaught, which is a fun perk, especially with ammo refunding perks in the third column.
In PvP, you can hit exactly 100 range with the Extended Barrel, Ricochet Rounds, and the new Ballistics weapon mod (which requires an enhanced weapon). While auto rifles aren’t the best in PvP, you can go for Zen Moment and Target Lock for reduced recoil, flinch, and more forgiving damage.
You can also go with either Kill Clip or Onslaught in the fourth column. Both perks require a kill to proc, which isn’t the best for three-vs-three playlists like Trials of Osiris and Competitive, but it can be a lot of fun in regular six-vs-six modes.
How to get BrayTech Werewolf in Destiny 2
BrayTech Werewolf is only available during the Festival of the Lost event in Destiny 2. During the event, you must play the Haunted Sectors activity to earn Candy and weapon drops, including the new Arcane Embrace burst shotgun.
You can also earn Eerie Engrams from the Haunted Sectors which you can then focus at Eva Levante in the Tower to get a specific weapon. To get BrayTech Werewolf from Eva in 2024, you must focus the Horror Story auto rifle. Bungie confirmed it’s intentional that BrayTech Werewolf drops from this source.
Play Haunted Sectors, farm candy, earn Eerie Engrams, and open them to get that god roll BrayTech Werewolf while the event is live.
