The Overwatch League announced the punishment on Twitter just before the Dallas Fuel took the league’s stage on Jan. 19 to face London Spitfire. Overwatch League issued a four-game suspension and a $2,000 fine to the player, but Dallas Fuel has added onto the punishment, suspending the tank player for the remainder of stage one.

XQc is being reprimanded for making homophobic remarks on his Twitch stream following a loss to Overwatch League team Houston Outlaws. Speaking about Outlaws tank player Austin “Muma” Wilmot, xQc went on a tirade where he told Muma—one of the Overwatch League’s only openly LGBT players—to “suck a fat cock.”

Dallas Fuel will continue to work with xQc to “help him improve as a player who is reflective of the principles of the Dallas Fuel organization, his teammates, and of the Overwatch League.”

“We believe in working with our players to help them become the best possible competitors, professionals, and teammates,” Dallas Fuel wrote on Twitter. “That includes work both inside and outside of competition for Felix.”

XQc will return to the Overwatch League in late February.
