Because there are still a few hundred options, you need to narrow down the list first. Start by crossing out all the options that can’t be the answer for today’s Wordle puzzle, like all words with letters that came out gray in your previous guesses, as well as those where the “C” and the “I” are in the wrong spots.

Over your next guesses, it is important to not re-use letters that come out gray and try as many new letters as you can at once. That should give you the most information possible.

And, though it is not as common with this combination as it is with a few others, keep in mind that one of the letters you are looking for might be a repetition. It could be the “C,” the “I,” or one of the other letters you haven’t found yet.

If you’re still unsure and don’t want to wait until Wordle resets at midnight local time, you can always look up the answer to today’s puzzle (which we update around 12am CT).
