PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is officially coming to Xbox One, the game’s creator confirmed live during Microsoft’s E3 presentation on Sunday.
The console port for the game has been in the works for some time, but players finally have confirmation that they can expect PUBG to join the Xbox family in the near future.
PUBG will launch only on Xbox One on an undisclosed date as a console exclusive but may come to other platforms a few months after the initial release. This, however, is unconfirmed at this time.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is a massive multiplayer survival game that pits players from around the world against each other until only one survives. The game went live back in April and has currently made an estimated $34 million since its release.
Multiple esports organizations, such as TSM, have jumped on the PUBG craze, signing streamers and players for future tournaments.
PUBG has taken the PC community by storm, and today’s announcement means that console players will get to join in on the fun as soon as Microsoft reveals exactly when this game will be available on Xbox One.
