Wordle is a simple and friendly game, but it can be really challenging games depending on what the first words were used and what the secret word of the day is.

These daily challenges can sometimes make the game very tense, especially when your guesses don’t bring much information other than several gray letters. Knowing how to choose a good first word to guess will help any player in any Wordle game.

No strategy is perfect and all can fail on any given day, but there are many possibilities to explore until you choose the one that best suits each style of play. Starting with words with a lot of vowels, for example, is a great way to narrow down options. Other players may prefer to use the maximum number of letters of the alphabet to try to find out on the last attempt which word is correct with the information collected.

Regardless of the playstyle you choose, a little help may be needed. Especially when after the first attempts you have only discovered the secret word of the day has the letters ‘D’ and ‘O’, here are some five-letter words with ‘RO’, sorted alphabetically.

All the words on this list are accepted by Wordle and will give you more clues as to which letters are present or not in the word of the day until you get it right. Another good tip to get it right as early as possible is to find which other vowels are present in the word of the day to narrow down your options. Beware of words that may have repeated letters and don’t forget to try words you already know first, since Wordle tends to choose more common words as the right answer.

These tips should help you complete your latest Wordle task.
