Grenades and headshots, it's that simple.

Destiny 2’s Guardian Games is back in 2024, and with it, an assortment of tasks and rewards for each class to complete and earn throughout the limited-time event.

The main quest in this year’s iteration, Best In Class, requires guardians to earn Medals to contribute at the Guardian Games Podium. Medals can be earned through a variety of activities, most notably via the Guardian Games Recreational Vanguard playlist.

Two such medals—Demolition Expert and Precision Spree—are easy to earn inside of a single Vanguard strike run and will massively boost your contributions to the Guardian Games medal tally. These medals also happen to contribute to two bounties tied to the event: the Mad Bomber bounty and the Far And Away bounty.

To get a Demolition Expert medal in Destiny 2’s Guardian Games, you will need to kill three enemies or more with a single grenade. While not too difficult on paper, you must remember other members of the fireteam will also be hunting to earn these medals, so often it’s a race to each enemy area.

The Mad Bomber bounty needs you to earn five Demolition Expert medals, but you don’t have to earn all five in one run. I found great success in tailoring a build around abilities, specifically grenades, to earn a heap of these medals in one run. As a Titan, using Armamentarium for that second grenade made this task a breeze to complete.

With a decent grenade build and a focus on your Discipline stat, you’ll be chucking grenades out constantly—you’ll just need to find a cluster of enemies to throw them at.

To earn Precision Spree medals during this Guardian Games, you’ll need to kill three enemies in quick succession with precision shots.

You’ll have to pack your Grenade Launchers or Rocket Launchers away if you want to collect these medals. We recommend a decent precision weapon like a scout rifle or hand cannon with some stability to limit recoil.

I found great success when using a low RPM Machine Gun. The buffs to PvE Machine Gun damage over the last couple of seasons have meant a single shot from the MG is enough to wipe out a red bar enemy.

Similar to the Mad Bomber bounty, the Far And Away bounty requires you to earn five Precision Spree medals. You don’t have to earn these medals in one run, but with the right weapon and a good eye, this one will be quick to complete.
