In the wake of Fortnite: Battle Royale’s hugely-successful Summer Skirmish events, Epic Games will be hosting even more lucrative tournaments in the upcoming season called Fall Skirmish.

Epic says that Fall Skirmish “starts soon” and that $10 million will be awarded across six weeks of competition. In comparison, Summer Skirmish awarded $8 million in eight weeks.

Summer Skirmish culminated at PAX West last weekend where Morgausse took home an incredible $225,000 grand prize. That kind of money was previously somewhat unheard of in esports before Epic stepped up to the plate with its massive prize pools.

Earlier this year in May, Epic pledged $100 million for the first year of Fortnite esports. Even when Fall Skirmish comes to an end, there will most likely be more Fortnite competitions to look forward to.

Epic promised major details about Fall Skirmish later in the week, so stay tuned for further information about the big-money tournament.
