The SMG Shayura’s Wrath can drop bodies both Destiny 2‘s Crucible and throughout the rest of the Sol system. Don’t let the submachine gun fool you: It packs a punch, especially with the right perks.
Shayura’s Wrath is available through Trials of Osiris whenever it’s in rotation and farming for it may be a long endeavor, especially for Destiny 2 players who don’t do well in Trials. Luckily for guardians, the perk pool on this SMG is fairly small, and knowing which perks to farm for is simple.

This definitely shouldn’t be a weapon to hunt for if you’re looking for a PvE SMG. Shayura’s Wrath is limited in PvE rolls, mainly because the damage perk on offer is Kill Clip—a slightly outdated damage perk for general activities. Paired with Zen Moment, the weapon will serve you well, but it’s not on my top PvE SMG list.
For PvP, however, this is one of the most consistent and best SMGs in the game, especially if you can land perks that enhance range. Zen Moment features once again, but I personally am enjoying using Dynamic Sway Reduction—it feels like a laser halfway through the magazine.
Throw on High Impact Reserves and by the time you’re halfway through the mag, you’re firing a hyper-accurate SMG with amazing range that deals extra damage. What’s not to like about that?
How to get Shayura’s Wrath in Destiny 2
Shayura’s Wrath can only be obtained in Trials of Osiris. You must first acquire the weapon during a Trials week that features Shayura’s Wrath in its rotation. After you acquire your first SMG—either as a random drop or at rank 16 at Saint-14—you can then use your Trials engrams and focus for a random roll version at the vendor.
Completing a Flawless run and attending the Lighthouse will net you an Adept version of the SMG with an extra mod slot for further enhancing the weapon’s stats. If you manage to snag one, be sure to boost up the weapon’s range—it can compete even with some auto rifles with the right barrel and mag perks!
