Another roster change has occurred in the Overwatch League offseason, with Houston Outlaws announcing the departure of tank player Russell “FCTFCTN” Campbell earlier today.
“Today I will no longer be a part of the Houston Outlaws, but I will always remember my time here,” FCTFCTN said on Twitter. “I couldn’t believe how much support I got after my initial signing. I am forever grateful to the Houston Outlaws for allowing me to be a part of the league’s inaugural season.”
FCTFCTN joined Houston in February 2018, a week after stage one of the Overwatch League began. He’s now a free agent and will surely be looking to join a team for season two of the league next year.

FCTFCTN is the first player to depart from the Houston roster in the organization’s young history. The team finished seventh in the Overwatch League, barely missing out on a spot in the inaugural playoffs.
Houston’s announcement isn’t the only big Overwatch roster change to be revealed today. Shanghai Dragons, who finished last in the league without recording a single match win, decided to cut the majority of its roster for the second season of the league. Lu “Diya” Weida, Kim “Geguri” Se-yeon, and Lee “Fearless” Eui-seok are the only remaining players on the Shanghai team.
There’s no news on when the second season of the Overwatch League will begin yet. More details are expected to emerge in the coming months.
