Nightfalls can be one of the most challenging activities in Destiny 2 on higher difficulties. Luckily for gamers, they come with rewards to match. Each week, at least one Nightfall weapon is in rotation and can drop from Nightfall completions.

Higher difficulties have better odds, and Destiny 2 guardians brave enough to face Grandmasters will get an Adept version of whatever weapon is on tap that week. Revenant is bringing a few Grandmasters on the challenging or annoying side, including Liminality, the Corrupted, Proving Grounds, and the Lightblade—which are (or were) among the trickiest at the time of their release.

Here is the Nightfall weapon for this week in Destiny 2.

Nightfall weapon this week: Uzume RR4

Somehow, Uzume RR4 returned. This oldie has been in the Nightfall pool since Season of the Wish, and that’s before counting its even earlier appearance in the pool during Season of the Splicer and beyond.

Its perk pool hasn’t changed all that much, however. Aim for Vorpal Weapon paired with Fourth Time’s the Charm, Lead From Gold, or Clown Cartridge as usual. Uzume faces competition from the Dreaming City’s Twilight Oath and Omniscient Eye from the reprised Garden of Salvation raid. Both are rapid-fires, which already gives them a leg up against Uzume.

Nightfall weapons available through Focused Decoding at Commander Zavala

The Focused Decoding section at Zavala offers the possibility to focus your Engrams into gear available in the weapon pool for Nightfalls and Vanguards. These include:

  • Nightfall weapons: All Nightfall weapons in the current pool.
  • Vanguard weapons: Nameless Midnight, Positive Outlook, Luna Regolith III, Double-Edged Answer, Origin Story, and Wicked Sister (the new Strand heavy grenade launcher).

Best Nightfall weapons worth farming in Destiny 2

If you have a limited time to play, we recommend farming for these weapons:

  • Rake Angle (Stasis glaive)
  • Wild Style (Solar Wave-Frame grenade launcher)
  • Scintillation (Strand linear fusion rifle)
  • PLUG ONE.1 (reissued Arc fusion rifle)

Nightfall weapons available through Legacy Focusing at Commander Zavala

If you missed some of the old Nightfall weapons, you can spend your hard-earned Vanguard Engrams to obtain these weapons for the first time, even though they’re no longer obtainable through normal means. Older weapons like the Palindrome aren’t available through this method. The full roster includes all Nightfall weapons since season 16 (Season of the Risen), starting with the Comedian. Not all of them are relevant, so we picked the ones we like the most.

Here are some of our favorites we recommend farming if you have Vanguard Engrams to spare. We’d add Hung Jury to this list for its consistency, but the Onslaught version released in Into the Light has better perks.

What are the Grandmaster Nightfall rewards in Destiny 2?

Grandmaster Nightfalls are the hardest challenge in Destiny 2, but they give you some of the most coveted rewards in the game. Completing a Grandmaster Nightfall will drop an Adept version of that week’s weapon, which can use Adept mods and gain slight bonuses to other stats when masterworked.

In addition to the Adept weapon (the crown jewel of GMs), players also have a shot at obtaining Ascendant Shards and Exotic armor upon completing a GM, with a Nightfall Memento on the table.

The rewards for Grandmaster Nightfalls are:

Bungie doesn’t share the exact drop rate for Nightfall weapons, so it’s tough to estimate exactly what the “common” drop rates mean. In our experience, though, completing a Grandmaster with a Platinum score has consistently yielded at least one Ascendant Shard or an Exotic armor piece.
