Best Aerodactyl Counters

Aerodactyl will be the first Pokémon you’ll face when battling against Cliff, so make sure you bring Pokémon such as Mamoswine with Ice-type moves to quickly and effectively faint Aerodactyl. Some Ice-type moves to prioritize are:

  • Powder Snow
  • Avalanche

Other Pokémon you can use are:

  • Metagross
  • Blastoise
  • Electivire
  • Kabutops
  • Aggron
  • Politoed

This is also valid for when Aerodactyl is featured in raids. But when it comes to Cliff’s battle, you’ll have to keep in mind his next Pokémon in the lineup when choosing your party. Move types to prioritize are:

  • Water
  • Ice
  • Rock
  • Steel
  • Electric

With Aerodactyl taking the first slot, beating Slowking in slot two could be next. Players can also encounter Gallade or Cradily. After you beat one of those, the third Pokémon can be Tyranitar, Dusknoir, or Mamoswine.

Best Aerodactly moveset

Aerodactyl is a Rock and Flying-type Pokémon, but its best moveset comes in the form of two rock type moves. Aerodactly’s best moveset is as follows:

  • Rock Throw: Rock Throw is a Rock-type Fast move that deals 8 damage and generates 5 energy in Go Battle League.
  • Rock Slide: Rock Slide is a Rock-type Charge move that deals 75 damage and costs 45 energy in Go Battle League.

Rock Throw and Rock Slide are the best moves to have with Aerodactly. This move combination has the highest total DPS and is effective in PVP battles.

So, there you have it. You have learned everything you need to know about the best Aerodactyl counters. Now, get out there and catch or defeat it.
