North American Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team Selfless Gaming is exploring its options for a new fifth member after one of its players stepped down.
Made up of the former Enemy roster, the team left the organization in February when their contracts expired. They formed Selfless—with the exception of Kenneth “koosta” Suen who went to Team Liquid. Now they will have to find a replacement for one of their founding members, Michael “Uber” Stapells, who announced on Twitter yesterday that he’s leaving Selfless’ starting roster.
Selfless tweeted that Uber is not actually leaving the organization, but instead will move to a backup role “for the time being.” Uber’s reasons for this change are not yet clear.
The team has competed in multiple tournaments since they formed on February 21, including the ESL Pro League Season 3, CEVO Gfinity Pro-League Season 9, DreamHack Austin, and the Americas Minor Championship and qualifier for ESL One Cologne—which Uber did not participate in.
Uber joins Richard “Lucky” Vasconcelos in the backup role. The four remaining starting members for the team includes Michael “MAiNLiNE” Jaber, Skyler “Relyks” Weaver, Noah “Nifty” Francis, and Mitch Semago.
