Fortnite: Battle Royale has been updated today with a new weapon and some gameplay changes. But as is usually the case, some things have been added to the back-end of the game, too.
In this case, some new skins have been found within the update’s files. There are new outfits, pickaxes, and back blings, all found by @TwoEpicBuddies on Twitter.
The first outfit is a pretty terrifying-looking sea creature monster of some kind, and two of the other datamined outfits look to be hazmat suited individuals tasked with dealing with whatever the monster is. It truly is gruesome-looking—more so than we may be used to seeing from Fortnite’s aesthetic style.
Two other outfits include a soldier with sunglasses and a bandana, and some kind of warrior who looks like he was taken right out of a Mad Max movie. Of course, most of them look to come with their very own back blings as well.
Other items found in the update include pickaxes made from film cameras, stop signs, and construction equipment. As is customary when new skins are found within an update, these are not official releases yet—but their odds of being added to the in-game store over the coming days and weeks are very strong.
Stay tuned to Fortnite’s official channels for the official releases of skins and cosmetics, as the in-game store is usually updated each night at or around 7pm CT.
Update May 16 10:45am CT: @TwoEpicBuddies also found some new emotes within the game’s files. They include Bendy, Clapper, Pop Dance, and Yeet.
