The second day of ESL One New York proved to be a hectic one. Here are the results from the remaining group stage matches (Oct. 1).

Round Three Matches

OpTic Gaming defeats G2 16-7 on Cache. OpTic gains three points, G2 is eliminated from the tournament.

Fnatic defeats Astralis 16-9 on Dust II. Fnatic gains three points for a total of six.

Natus Vincere defeats SK Gaming 16-6 on Mirage. Na`Vi gains three points for a total of nine, advancing to the semifinal.


Round Four Matches

OpTic Gaming defeats Astralis 16-12 on Overpass. OpTic Gaming gains three points for a total of six, Astralis is eliminated from the tournament.

Team Liquid defeats Fnatic 16-14 on Dust II. Liquid gains three points for a total of six.

SK Gaming defeats Virtus.pro 16-8 on Train. SK gains three points for a total of nine, advancing to the semifinals.


Round Five Matches

Liquid defeats Fnatic 16-12 on Dust II. Liquid gains three points for a total of nine, advancing to the semifinals and eliminating Fnatic from the tournament.

Virtus.pro defeats OpTic Gaming 16-14 on Cobblestone. Virtus.pro gains three points for a total of nine, advaning the semifinals and eliminating OpTic Gaming from the tournament.


With today’s final group stage matches deciding which four teams would make the semifinals tomorrow, all of the teams in New York fought until their dying breath. Natus Vincere emerged from group play undefeated, as the firepower of their new lineup was on display against reigning major champion SK Gaming. OpTic’s relatively new team pulled off incredible upsets thanks to Tarik “tarik” Celik’s play, eliminating G2 and Astralis.

SK Gaming secured the second spot in the semifinals with a decisive victory over Virtus.pro, and Liquid eked out the third spot with two wins against Fnatic on Dust II. Virtus.pro beat OpTic in the final game of the day, a back-and-forth match on Cobblestone, to earn them the last spot in the semifinal.
