“Here comes a new challenger,” Blizzard wrote on the official Overwatch Twitter account. “Add D.Va’s Light Gun to your arsenal in 2019.” D.Va’s Light Gun is part of an Overwatch collaboration with Nerf’s Rival line, which focuses on “high-performance blasters.”

D.Va’s Nerf pistol will have “recoil action” and shoot up to 80 feet per second, according to the Twitter teaser. It’s the second Overwatch weapon replica shown so far. In late July, Blizzard showed off its design for Reaper’s Hellfire shotgun, which will shoot up to 90 feet per second.

Nerf’s Rival series launched in 2015. Instead of shooting darts like typical Nerf guns, the Rival weapons shoot tiny foam balls. Accessories are a big part of the Rival experience, with vests, lights, masks, and walkie talkies available. Blizzard hasn’t said whether Nerf will release Overwatch-inspired accessories with the Rival line, but we’d love to see bunny ears or a Reaper-styled mask.

Blizzard’s initial announcement of the partnership with Nerf and Hasbro was revealed in mid-May. Details are still slim regarding actual release time, but fans can expect the Overwatch Nerf guns to become available in 2019.

If you can’t wait that long, you’re going to have to just make your own. Thankfully, there are tutorials for that. One Overwatch fan put together a video detailing how he created Tracer’s pistol as an airsoft gun. It’s a lengthy process, but it’s worth it if you have the skill and time.
