IEM Sydney set to have over $260K prize pool

Australian will play host to an esports mega event coming to Sydney in early May.

Having been teased for the last week, ESL Australia has announced Intel Extreme Masters Sydney, which will take place in the Qudos Bank Arena on May 6-7 with a $260,000 (AUD) prize pool.

Along with the announcement of the event, both SK Gaming and Renegades are confirmed as the first two participants.

Attendees of the tournament will receive the full IEM experience, with meet and greets, autograph sessions, giveaways, and opportunities to test the latest Intel products.

Tickets will be available publicly from 10 a.m. AEDT March 13. Telstra customers and ESL CS:GO Fan Club members will be available to purchase pre-sale tickets from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. AEDT, March 9 and 12. All ticketing information can be seen via www.ticketek.com.au.
