EU and APAC CWL 2000 Series Jan. 22 Recap: Mindfreak, Splyce Take The Gold

Another week and another 2k series. Teams from the APAC and EU regions are looking to make moves in their respected brackets to set up seeding for their future tournaments.

Asia/Pacific 2000 Series

After a great win in the last 2k series by the new Tainted Minds sqaud, a surprising performance by them this time around as they placed in the 3rd/4th spot after getting knocked out by Mindfreak in the semi-finals. Countering the disappointing performance by Tainted Minds, Chiefs Esports made a great run thoroughout the 2k series and made it to the final where they matched up and lost to Mindfreak.

The Gfinity cutoff is approching very fast and with that teams are going for it all this 2k series to make sure they qualify for the event. Alongside qualifying for Gfinity, the pro point cutoffs for CWL Atlanta and ESWC are also very close so every team will be attempting to gain as many pro points as possible.
