Wizards of the Coast has printed Commander-specific sets from 2013 to 2021, with Commander 2019 falling short of expectations regarding collectible Magic: The Gathering cards worth money.
The Commander format in Magic: The Gathering continues to grow every day. But the Commander 2019 (C19) set is most remembered for its printing of Dockside Extortionist. The goblin has been a staple within the Commander format since its release and was even reprinted in Double Masters 2022, dropping its original value to around $30.
From a goblin to a snake and spirit, here are the Commander 2019 cards still worth money.
Dockside Extortionist
Players were calling for a reprint of Dockside Extortionist for some time, finally getting it via the Double Masters 2022 release. For a long time, the goblin pirate was valued at around $80 to $90 but has since fallen to around $50 to $60 depending on its condition. Dockside Extortionist received new art via its Double Masters reprint with a borderless and a foil-etched version valued between $100 and $200.
Seedborn Muse
Featured during the Gen Con Commander 2019 reveal, Seedborn Muse is a versatile spirit creature that untaps all permanents during each opponent’s untap step. The spirit has slowly been on the rise in value since May 2022 and is priced at around $11. The most expensive version of Seedborn Muse is a foil from Legions worth about $200.
Ohran Frostfang
Once priced at almost $20, the only Ohran Frostfang card valued that high is its Secret Lair version. The C19 version of the snake has risen in price over the last six months, worth around $13. Ohran Frostfang is a popular card within the Fynn, the Fangbearer Commander deck, and in the Jetmir, Nexus of Revels build.
