Kibler’s Entomb Curator Priest

Rank 3-2

Before the last wing of the new adventure was released Kibler was effectively using this control style Priest with entomb at it’s core.  For aggressive match-ups wild pyromancer, zombie chow, and deathlord are the superstars fighting for early board control while the extremely flexible flash heal efficiently keeps your hero out of lethal range.  In the control games, entomb really shines and can outright win you the match by not only cleanly removing their biggest threats (doesn’t leave you with a deathrattled minion or a 5/3 weapon to contend with in tirion fordring), it will give you that same threat to be used against it’s former owner!

A surprising amount of burst as well with auchenai soulpriest + flash heal + upgraded hero power with justicar trueheart dealing 4 damage for 2 mana!

With the final wing in League of the Explorers released today Priest got a formidable card in museum curator.  Getting to choose a free deathrattle minion is insane!

P4hwnyhof’s Zoo Lock

Legend 65

An interesting Zoo deck with a Flood Lock core that doesn’t run doomguard.  Interesting cards in this deck are reliquary seeker, dark peddler, gormok the impaler,  brann bronzebeard, and sea giant.  The idea is to get as many cheap minions on the board to play a discounted sea giant and activate the seeker buff (with brann bronzebeard on the board you can watch your reliquary seeker grow to a 9/9!).  Zoo is definitely making a resurgence with hunter taking a rare back-seat.  If you enjoy the Zoo play style than now is a really good time to update your deck and jump in!

Forsen’s/MrYagut’s Oil Rogue

Forsen Legend 81 – MrYagut Legend 5

Two highly skilled rogue players (players in general) reaching high Legend rank piloted their respective Oil Rogue decks.  There aren’t a lot of pieces that are very flexible in the Oil Rogue core, and the only difference between these two dagger wielding “warriors” is MrYagut removes x 1 tinker’s sharpsword oil for x 1 piloted shredder.   It’s clear to me when watching these guys pilot this deck that there is a noticeable quality in their decision making each turn that greatly increases their win rate.  If you’re not proficient with Oil Rogue climbing the ladder will be a bit rough.  However, if you are comfortable with it then you should enjoy many win streaks!

Hotform’s Aggro Shaman

Rank 2

The new “face” of face decks, the aggro Shaman is very formidable.  Many game can be won with an almost “Freeze Mage” finishing combo with all the direct damage spells at it’s disposal (lighting bolt, lava burst, and crackle).  This is not the only win condition by any means which is what makes this deck so nasty.  doomhammer puts your opponent on a clock (4 damage for the next 4 turns typically means the game will be decided within those turns), add to that sir finley‘s discover mechanic and you could have Shapeshift to swing for 6 damage per turn or Steady Shot to quicken the clock that much more.  Although, the strongest hero power is usually Lifetap for the constant card draw.

Don’t be afraid to trade early if you get good value or use spells for removal.  You have plenty of burst in this deck so you don’t have to feel like you are giving away your win condition.

Sjow’s Starseeker Control Priest

Rank 5

Sjow switched to this control Priest version with museum curator that also includes elise starseeker.   Still haven’t seen the golden monkey since it takes quite a bit for it to be live (play elise starseeker for the battlecry which pops the 2 mana map into your deck, then you have to draw the map, play the map which gives you the 5 mana 5/5 taunted monkey, then play the monkey which transforms your hand and deck into random legendaries).

Conclusion

Thank you for the great response from the first Streamer Watch!  This seems to indicate this might be something you all might dig on a regular basis!  Let me know if there is anything else about this series you’d like to see and I’ll work hard at providing it for you.  You guys are great!

As always, thank you for reading!

Much love,

P.S.  If you want to laugh and have a good time, stop by my stream as I reach Legend for the first time this season!  I’m going for the grind!
