LEGO Fortnite’s Lost Isle update has brought with it a ton of new content and ideas—and resources. Mahogany Wood is one such material, and it’s not too hard to find if you know where to look.

I’m trying my best to avoid Anchorman references where Mahogany Wood (of the rich variety) is concerned as LEGO Fortnite users are completely focused on finding the material. Between Stink Glands and taming Klombo, there are a lot of balls to juggle in LEGO Fortnite.

Mahogany Wood is a much-needed resource for certain recipes, though, so let’s help you track it down and stockpile your own personal, rich-smelling forest.

There are two main ways to find Mahogany Wood in LEGO Fortnite: Open Gold Chests and chop down trees in the Lost Isles.

Chests

Finding and searching Gold Chests is a tried and trusted method for finding almost any item in LEGO Fortnite—albeit an inconsistent one. A chest can only hold a finite amount of items, but in the new LEGO Fortnite v31.20 update, Mahogany Wood is one of the new drops possible.

I can’t tell if the wood is restricted purely to chests on the Lost Isles, so my recommendation would be to look for chests in the sky above for Mahogany Wood as it would make sense it can only be found in the new locations.

Lost Isles trees

Again, my intuition tells me this method is exclusive to trees in the Lost Isles, but chopping down trees with a pickaxe is an easy way to obtain Mahogany Wood. You should notice the trees have a distinct blue tone in the floating islands above. I exclusively targeted these trees for a few minutes and racked up a sizable amount of Mahogany Wood in no time at all.

Make sure you don’t blow up the trees using Blasters or anything destructive as it only destroys the tree and doesn’t drop any resources behind to pick up.

Now that you know how to gather Mahogany Wood in LEGO Fortnite, don’t stop there. There’s a lot out there for you to discover in the Lost Isles update, like how to find the NaNa Village and the Tropical Treasures Pass quests and rewards.
