Players who live in the United States can head to their nearest McDonald’s to purchase two different tasty dishes themed around characters from Genshin Impact. These customers will also receive codes that unlock exclusive in-game rewards, but the meals and prizes are only available from Sept. 17 to 29.

There are two different treats players can purchase at McDonald’s, and each meal comes with different limited-time rewards. The first is an apple pie wrapped in special packaging themed after one of two Genshin characters, Beidou or Kazuha. Players who purchase the apple pie will be rewarded with 40 Primogems, three exclusive Golden Apple Pastries that temporarily boost your damage, and a Golden Apple Pastry Recipe that allows players to craft more.

Players can also purchase the Genshin Impact Deluxe McCrispy Meal, which contains a deluxe McCrispy, fries, a drink, and a limited-edition apple pie. The meal also comes with a redemption code for rewards, such as the unique “Wings of Delicacies” Wing Glider and the “Celebration: Crispy and Sweet” Namecard. These rewards can only be claimed while the collaboration is active, and to receive these rewards, the meal must be purchased via the McDonald’s app.

Even though the collaboration is only available at McDonald’s stores located in the United States, the redemption codes are valid across all servers. This means players from European or Asian servers can claim the rewards, so long as they have friends in the United States that are willing to supply a code.

While Genshin fans are generally pleased with the collaboration, players outside the United States are upset they won’t be able to easily receive the meals or rewards. One player responded with their complaints on X (formerly Twitter), suggesting that fans of the game “deserve things to be global and not be conditioned by region.”

Genshin previously collaborated with another fast-food franchise, Kentucky Fried Chicken, and these rewards were similarly locked behind geographical regions. Either way, fans in the United States can enjoy the collaboration and rewards from Sept. 17 to 29.
