The now-defunct Overwatch League left an impact on many with its esports memories but also its awesome in-game skins. Beginning today, some of those skins will be unvaulted as part of a special event.
In what Blizzard calls the OWL Team Inventory Sale, 12 classic OWL-themed skins will return to Overwatch 2 as the game and scene continue the transition into the Overwatch Champions Series era. This means some skins that have been unattainable for a while will be made available once more.
Skins will be available to purchase individually in the OWL Shop for OWL Tokens and as part of several different bundles that players can buy with OW Coins in the normal shop. Blizzard didn’t provide pricing details for the bundle.
The OWL-themed skins in the past included some favorites for heroes like Mercy, D.VA, Tracer, Genji, and more, while others were designed by OWL MVPs themselves, such as the Zen-Nakji skin for Zenyatta, which had input from league MVP JJoNaK from the New York Excelsior OWL team.
Since being removed from the store, several skins haven’t been seen, so this is a good opportunity for players to collect the ones they’ve been missing from their collections for up to several years.
The full schedule for the skins and bundles coming to the shop to be purchased for coins can be found below, and it all begins today.
