The process for recruiting new villagers in Disney Dreamlight Valley looks different for every character. Tiana is one of the trickier characters to unlock since her quest is hidden until you find a certain item.
The beloved Disney princess adds quite a lot to the valley, including her very own restaurant, Tiana’s Palace. She also comes with an array of friendship quests and rewards you can claim as you get to know her better. She’s a great villager to befriend, so here’s how to unlock Tiana in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How to get Tiana in Disney Dreamlight Valley
You can unlock Tiana in Disney Dreamlight Valley by completing the A Taste for Literature quest. This quest doesn’t start automatically, which means you have to complete a couple of steps before you can work through it.
- Check your mailbox and look for a message from Remy titled “A Culinary Development!” regarding a cookbook he found in the Glade of Trust. If you don’t see this message, try reloading your game, check back later, or reach out to Gameloft directly using the official Disney Dreamlight Valley Trello board.
- Head to the Glade of Trust and find the cookbook. It spawns randomly in this area, so its precise location looks different for every player. Mine was fairly close to the ramp leading into the Glade of Trust biome from the Peaceful Meadow area.
As soon as you find the cookbook, the A Taste for Literature quest begins. All you need to do to recruit Tiana is complete the full A Taste for Literature quest since she joins the valley permanently right at the end of it.
Tiana is trapped in a magic cookbook Merlin gave her, and the only way to set her free is by cooking a special dish you uncover in this quest. You have to talk with some other villagers and remember who she is and the magic of cooking to break the curse.
