The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria releases on Steam and consoles on Aug. 27, but a release time has not been confirmed.

Return to Moria may have a staggered midnight local time release, meaning those in New Zealand would get their hands on the game first. However, I think it’s more likely Return to Moria will get a universal release time, meaning the survival crafter will launch at the same time globally.

This is just speculation, though, as developer Free Range Games hasn’t confirmed a release time yet. We will update this article as soon as it does. Until then, our countdown below is ticking down to midnight CT on Aug. 27.

What platforms will Return to Moria be available on?

The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria will be available on PC (via Steam), PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, meaning it’s skipping Xbox One, PS4, and Switch. If you can’t wait, you can pick up Return to Moria from the Epic Games Store, as the game has had a year of Epic-exclusivity ahead of this release.

At the time of writing, Return to Moria hasn’t been confirmed to be coming to Xbox Game Pass or PS Plus at launch. We’re hoping to see it land on Microsoft’s subscription service at a later date—but the developer hasn’t confirmed this will happen.
