According to the developer, Xiangli Yao is one of the upcoming Resonators in Wuthering Waves in 1.2, along with Zhezhi. It’s officially named the “In the Turquoise Moonglow” update. At the time of writing, it is unclear if the Resonator will be directly sent to your inbox or if you’ll need to complete a bunch of challenges, similar to how everyone unlocked Yuanwu for free by advancing in the Tower of Adversity.

Kuro is also adding the Moon-Chasing Festival with the update on Aug. 15, as well as fan-requested features like Custom Lock-on, which has three different modes: Movement Direction, Camera Direction, and Distance. The feature should be a relief for players whose camera angles were causing janky movement and making them lose battles.

The developer is also adding a new utility called the Hoverdroid: Shooter, which you can use any time to solve puzzles that previously required you to have a Resonator with shooting skills in your party, or shuffle your team completely. Now, you can run any team composition without needing a Shooter in your squad just to solve the puzzles.

Among other quality-of-life changes, PC players can play Wuthering Waves at up to 120 FPS after the update. Additionally, after you reach the daily Waveplate cap, Waveplates won’t be wasted if you can’t use them immediately. After the update, if you’re at the cap, up to 480 Waveplates per day will be converted into Crystals. Then, you can convert these Crystals back into Waveplates whenever you need them.

If you’re already saving your Astrites for the 1.3 update, at least Xiangli Yao won’t leave a hole in your pocket so you can keep your eyes peeled for the upcoming Resonators.
