On Aug. 6, a Redditor shared a leak from UBatcha hinting that Honkai: Star Rail is getting a new banner type down the road, and it could be a big positive quality-of-life improvement. According to the leak, the new so-called Sub Banner has three switchable groups of old five-star characters and Light Cones. This means the older, Limited five-star units could be getting reruns more often.

Honkai: Star Rail is one of the best gacha games out there, and it has lots to offer, from quests and puzzles to unique characters to collect and build. While there are currently two banner types, new characters and Light Cones release very often.

So, implementing a third banner that focuses only on rerun characters and weapons could be a fantastic quality-of-life feature for new players and veterans alike. It means that you’d be able to collect your favorite characters and Light Cones in case you missed them or lost your fifty-fifty before.

And it seems the community agrees. “I would be fine with this. Getting your older characters rerun more often isn’t a bad thing,” a player wrote on Honkai: Star Rail’s subreddit.

While this would be an excellent change for the future of the game, the information is based on leaks, so you should take it with a giant grain of salt—make sure to stay tuned for further updates.
