The PlayStation and PC partnership continues with the release of God of War Ragnarok on PC, and we’re counting down the days and seconds until Kratos runs Ragnarok ragged.
God of War Ragnarok is the latest hard-hitting chapter in Santa Monica’s legendary action series. Featuring an even wiser Kratos, a more mature Atreus, and a world embroiled in conflict amid the looming devastation of Ragnarok, 2022’s GOW broke new ground for the franchise.
PS5 users have already had the pleasure of ripping and tearing their way through the nine realms, but now it’s time for PC users to experience this beautiful brutality.
God of War Ragnarok release date and time
God of War Ragnarok will release on Sept. 19, 2024. Until we get confirmation from Santa Monica or Sony that something different is in the works, we expect a complete midnight local time launch for Ragnarok—just like the console version received. This means it should go live on Steam when the clock strikes midnight in your region.
Ragnarok may have a global release on Steam, meaning the game goes live at noon CT, which is when the Steam Store updates.
We will update this article when Sony confirms an official release time. But for now, our countdown below is counting down to midnight CT on Sept. 19.
What PC client will God of War Ragnarok be available on?
God of War Ragnarok will only be available on PC via Steam. You require a PlayStation Network account to play the game, much like Helldivers 2 did before Sony’s U-turn.
The issue with this is that PSN isn’t available in 177 countries, so make sure you can create a PSN account before you buy God of War Ragnarok on PC.
