Although FaZe Clan shockingly failed to qualify for the CWL Pro League in January, the popular organization has found its way into the premier Call of Duty esports league.

FaZe Clan has purchased the CWL Pro League spot formerly held by Red Reserve, the organization announced today. The lineup will feature a mix of FaZe and Red players, with FaZe veteran Tommy “ZooMaa” Paparatto teaming up with young players McArthur “Cellium” Jovel and Obey Asim, as well as former Red stars Trei “Zer0” Morris and Matthew “Skrapz” Marshall.

It had been rumored for several weeks now that Red Reserve’s team would be disbanding and that FaZe would take their place in the league. But for most of that time, it remained a mystery exactly who would don the FaZe jersey in the CWL Pro League.

After failing to qualify for the league, FaZe loaned out James Crowder and Preston “Priestahh” Greiner to 100 Thieves while they loaned Dillon “Attach” Price to Evil Geniuses. This left only ZooMaa and Cellium on the team, although Cellium had been seen playing mostly with FC Black’s roster.

This new roster certainly has a lot of talent. Their chemistry may be an issue at the start, however. The team will debut at CWL London next month before resuming play in Division A of the CWL Pro League. They’re in fourth place in the division, but it won’t be easy to maintain their spot, which would qualify them for the playoffs.
