Unlike previous major Call of Duty LAN events, CWL Fort Worth featured two different competitions—a professional tournament and a separate amateur event. And now, the MTN DEW AMP GAME FUEL Open Bracket competition has come to end with FC Black on top.

Over 180 amateur teams traveled to Texas for this weekend’s $75,000 open bracket event, but only one could prevail. FC Black—McArthur “Cellium” Jovel, Chris “Simp” Lehr, Thomas “GRVTY” Malin, Timothy “Phantomz” Landis, and Obey Asim—reverse swept Mindfreak to capture the CWL Fort Worth open bracket title.

The grand finals of the competition was aired on the main broadcast to kick off CWL Fort Worth’s Championship Sunday. The first map of this series was a back-and-forth showdown, but a late surge by Mindfreak helped them secure Arsenal Hardpoint 250-193. The Australians carried their strong play into Gridlock Search and Destroy, taking map two 6-3 to build a 2-0 series lead.

But from that point on, FC Black flipped the switch and took over the matchup. They won Arsenal Control 3-1, Frequency Hardpoint 250-180, and Arsenal Search and Destroy 6-3 to capture the championship.

FC Black will walk away with the $15,000 first-place prize, while Mindfreak—Conrad “Shockz” Rymarek, Lincoln “Fighta” Ferguson, Luke “Louqa” Rigas, Daniel “Swifty” Hickey, and Jayden “Setzyy” Hewitt—earn $12,500 for coming in second.

The professional tournament at CWL Fort Worth is still underway, with 100 Thieves, Reciprocity, Luminosity, and Splyce fighting for the championship.
