Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has a plethora of suits that can be unlocked for Peter Parker and Miles Morales, though there is one omission that has resulted in disappointment.
With two Spider-Men to be kitted out in the game, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 offers a massive range of customization—but not every suit you see in the game can actually be worn.
As the game develops, Peter Parker will learn that his best friend, Harry Osborn, has been saved from a life-threatening disease by wearing a Symbiote costume and he steps in to help Spider-Man at Colney Island and in some future missions.
During this part of the story, Harry is wearing a suit that, though never confirmed, looks to be inspired by Agent Venom from the comics, though that doesn’t last as the Symbiote eventually takes hold.
Eventually, after the Symbiote bonds with Peter before returning to Harry, he becomes Venom and takes over as the leading antagonist in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
It also results in the end for the Agent Venom costume, though fans are wondering why this is the case and why it wasn’t made as an available costume for Peter to wear.
Though the story development sees Peter and the Symbiote separate, you can still wear any Symbiote suit you have unlocked, and can later still use the powers, but Osborn’s Agent Venom suit is seemingly gone forever.
While it may make sense from a story standpoint, it would have been a nice touch to have the costume available for Peter to honor the memory of Harry at a time when he was a hero, before fully transforming into Venom.
We’ll have to wait and see if things change in any future DLC or sequels to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, but we have our fingers crossed for a return.
